Bruce Rampelberg is announcing his candidacy for District 30 Senate seat. He has been an active community leader in the Black Hills and across South Dakota for many years. His career as a banker has spanned 44 years, serving 19 years as bank President and currently serving as Vice President of Public Relations for First Interstate Bank.
Rampelberg served on numerous non-profit and service club boards. Over the years, he has emphasized leadership in economic growth activities and more recently, has been extensively involved in supporting Ellsworth Air Force Base as a national asset and an important economic pillar in Western South Dakota. Currently, he is serving on 2 South Dakota Authority boards, 3 Foundation boards and several community boards.
Growing up on a farm formed his understanding of the work ethic. His family’s commitment to honesty and loyalty formed the principals of integrity and character by which he has chosen to live. He and his wife Sandee have been married 44 years and have 2 grown sons and 3 grandchildren.
Rampelberg will bring leadership experience in the business world, common sense from growing up on a farm, an understanding of the needs of everyday people and a desire to get things done to the South Dakota Senate. He will remember his roots and his duty to represent the people living in District 30.
